About Us

Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha Sabha (SLNS) has established its presence as a registered Public Trust for the past three decades in Navi Mumbai. SLNS is a Spiritual, Cultural and Social Development organization. The Sabha is committed to extend its charitable services to the public in religious activities, supporting music, dance and fine arts, providing medical services, spiritual development, preservation and propagation of Vedic studies, education, providing facilities for conducting social functions, marriage, seminars, medical camps and other socio- Cultural programs.

SABHA’S MILESTONES

Acquirement of Land for developing Infra-structures

Determined to create infra-structure for carrying out its Religious, Socio-Cultural and public welfare activities, SLNS acquired a plot of land admeasuring about 3000 sq mtrs. of area atop Brahmagiri Hill in Nerul (West) on lease, allotted by M/s CIDCO Ltd. in 1991.

Construction of Sri Balaji Mandir Complex – a Landmark in Navi Mumbai

  • The Bhoomi Puja for Sri Balaji Mandir Complex was officiated in the holy presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Jayendra Saraswati Sankaracharya Swami in December 1991.
  • SLNS constructed beautiful shrines , installing the adorable idols of Lord Sri Balaji and Sri Padmavati Devi therein and an impressive mani mantapam.
  • Ceremonial consecration of the SHRINES was performed at the Holy Hands of His Holiness Sri Sri Sriranga Ramanuja Jeer Swamiji of Tirumala Tirupati.
  • Subsequently in consistent manner, shrines were built around Sri Balaji Temple and Sri Padmavathi Devi , for Sri Vidya Ganapati, Sri Vishwaksenar, Sri Yoga Anjaneya (Hanuman), Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha, Sri Ramanujacharya and Sri Sudarshanar.
  • SLNS built a Rajagopuram with Mahadwaram – an ornamental entrance of Sri Balaji Mandir Complex. The Rajagopuram consists of around 200 ornate idols of Deities from various Divyadesams and Abhimana Sthalas.
  • As a result of Sabha’s unrelenting efforts, this beautiful temple complex comprising of shrines artistically sculpted in granite stone based on South Indian Temple Architecture and iconography, came into existence.
  • The Worship routines are as per Sri Pancharatra Agama and gracefully guided by Sabha’s Patron Saint His Holiness Periya Jeer Swamiji of Tirumala Tirupati.
  • Our religious procedures are equated with those followed in divyadesams in their grandeur and style by the visiting religious heads and vidvans.

Commitment and Contribution towards ecological balancing

The Sabha maintains the garden plots in front of the temple and its rear side – the plots being entrusted on lease by M/s CIDCO Ltd. for development purposes as a “Go Green Policy”. As such the Sabha contributes to the upkeep of the greenery around the premises and conserves the ecological splendor in the locality.

Promoting Charitable & Primary Medical Services

  • SLNS conducts Annadanam every day in the form of distributing Prasadam to public
  • The Sabha had set up a medical centre with a qualified doctor and extended medical support to many of the poor and construction workers, as far back as when the development of Nerul – West node was at primitive stage.
  • The Sabha provided Cardio-care ambulance on No-profit basis with the professional support from Lakshadeep Hospital, Vashi.
  • Regular diagnostic and medical camps were organized by the Sabha and supports like hearing-aid, spectacles etc. were distributed free of cost to the public.
  • SLNS is confident of enhancing all these activities soon after the construction of proposed Socio Welfare & Cultural Complex (SWCC) is complete

Public Recognition of Sabha’s Services

The Public in large have contributed significantly in the development of SLNS by regular participation and generous contribution in its day to day activities and Annual Utsavams.

FUTURE VISIONS AND EXPANSIONS

As a Social responsibility and as envisaged by its founding patrons , the Sabha is determined to serve the public by constructing the Socio Welfare & Cultural Complex (SWCC) in the remaining area of the Plot.

The SWCC building will be constructed in a multi-level structure comprising Basement, Ground plus Five stories and the usage plan envisages providing the following in line with our values :-

  • Conducting auspicious, traditional and social functions like Marriage, seminars,Pravachan etc.
  • Center for Teaching and imparting training in Dance, Music and other Fine Arts
  • Vedic education, Meditation and Yoga hall, Prayer room, Keertan room etc.
  • Basic medical facilities, need-based rehabilitation services and medical camps
  • Kendras like Discourse hall, Library , reading room etc.
  • Public amenities like visitors’ dormitory, roms for touring pilgrims and Religious Heads etc.
  • Housing for Staff of SLNS

The usage plan has been devised in strict adherence to the Sabha’s commitment towards preserving the ecological requirements of the metropolis.

The total cost of the Project is estimated to be about Rs.18 Crores. The Sabha will be pleased to furnish the cost details and additional details to the Philanthropic Individuals, Trusts and Organizations who intend sponsoring the construction of these various units.

APPEAL TO PUBLIC AND PHILANTHROPIC BODIES

The Sabha earnestly solicits donations and generous contributions from Donors, Corporates, Philanthropists, Charitable institutions and common public participation to a large extent towards meeting the cost of the construction and make the Socio – Cultural Complex fully functional. SLNS also welcomes sponsorships / contributions in kind in the form of construction materials such as iron rods ( Steel ), RMC concrete, Cement, Bricks, sand and other accessories / equipments like Lifts ( 3 nos.), Car lifts ( 2 nos.), DG, elaborate Fire-fighting system, AC units, Kitchen Equipments etc. which are required for completing this building for providing service to humanity and be the recipient of Lord Sri Balaji’s blessings.

Cheques may be drawn in favour of “ Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha Sabha ” towards contributions.
